Manual Pedal started in 2014 when I traveled by bicycle from New York to California for 2 ½ months for a total of 4,173 miles. During that trip I thought a lot about how I can share my journey and passion for bicycle touring. It was in the Nevada desert I decided to start the Manual Pedal site & YouTube channel as a home to adventure cycling stories, reviews and short films. Typical things that happen when traveling such as personal interactions, tough climbs up a mountain pass, or getting a flat tire are all experienced by cyclist in a unique way. My goal with Manual Pedal is to inspire and share my passion to other fellow cyclists.
